Wallace to his wife Annie from Parkstone, Dorset, 9 Aug 1896 re her arrival at Adelboden and receipt of her letter and Violet's card; work in garden and orchid house, box of orchids expected from Singapore shortly, teaching Kate (housemaid?) how to care for orchids in his absence; his tickets and luggage labels (for Switzerland) have arrived with list of party, including Mr Le Gallienne, a poet and alleged Socialist; will stay on arrival at Hotel Victoria Davos Platz; looks forward to going on to Adelboden. Stamped letter addressed to Mrs Wallace, Pension Edelweiss, Adelboden Switzerland, postmarked on the front Parkstone 10 Aug 1896 and on the back Adelboden 12 Aug 1896, annotated in blue pencil in A. R. Wallace's? WGW's? hand "Frumner"? Place: Parkstone Dorset England Switzerland Notes: Letter annotated in blue pencil at the top of first page, same hand as envelope? "[Garden & Switzerland".
