All sections stamped "First Proof [date]" except except the first (title -p. xii) which is stamped "1st] Revise 5 Oct 1908". Notes: Held between coarse acidic boards back and front and tied with string when listed. Only the front board, with A. R. Wallace's annotation, retained. Proofs have not been checked for duplicates or omissions and sections have not been numbered. |
