Wallace family papers were stored on arrival at the NHM and before listing. Pencilled notes and temporary reference numbers in square brackets on the wallets were added by P J Lucas during sorting and listing. The wallets appear old and may have been used by A. R. Wallace himself at some time, but there is no direct evidence that he did. |
