Sepia photographic print approximately 11 cm x 8 cm showing several levels of upright basalt columns, with a slack cable and post fence and a (mining?) truck on a railway track in the middle ground. Annotated on the back in ink in the same unknown hand as that on the photos of corrugated basalt at Siebengebrige and others in WP17/8 "Basalt, Dattenburg. | Siebengebrige." Undated. Possibly c. 1893, when A. R. Wallace was writing on glaciation (See WP1/2/39, letter to Violet Wallace 8 October 1893). Photographer unknown.
