Wallace's? WGW's? hand in ink "'My Life" | Proofs of Illustrations - large size | not quite complete'. Notes: The un-captioned proof, not reproduced in "My Life", is an oval-framed head and shoulders portrait of Wallace aged about 50?, 3/4 face looking to the viewer's left, hatless and wearing spectacles. Annotated card very acidic; bottom blank card discarded.
