Place: Mount Ophir Malaya Sarawak Singapore Malaya Notes: Letter no in contents list: 31. No year date. Annotated in pencil "1854". Some of the letter (three folios?) is apparently missing. The text addressed to George Silk, which is on one side of a folio. with valediction and signature, states "These four sheets are for the Lit. Soc. ... If too long this letter may be cut in two, at the 2nd page of sheet 2 where I have made a cross." The text on the back, which is initialled "A. R. Wallace" and is about Mount Ophir, seems to be the last page of a longer narrative.
